Students Of Color Conference Discriminates Against Other Students Of Color

The organizers of an annual students of color conference at the University Of California decided to make it`s theme this year “Fighting Anti-Blackness”. Predictably this did not go over well with the other students who likewise seek attention through victimization and it left them triggered. One student wrote “It was really hurtful to have other marginalized identities silenced because a small fringe of organizers decided that their oppressions are more important…”

The College Fix reported that:
“The conference typically ends with a demonstration and protest in the community surrounding the school where it takes place, however Alvarez said that this year students felt conflicted about participating. “Students of other minority groups felt less inclined to protest for the causes of ‘Fighting anti-blackness’ and ‘Black Lives Matter,’” Alvarez said. “They did not think that these issues applied to them and therefore had no reason to protest for them.”

In our opinion, it`s great to see the other students standing up against this discrimination. We hope they continue to do so and hold protests against other students of color who do not recognize their oppression. Let the games begin
