A recent opinion piece by Dinesh D’Souza addresses the allegations that Rosie O’Donnell made illegal campaign donations to several democrat candidates. As is known, D’Souza was charged with giving $20,000 over the limit to a friend of his who was running as a Republican for the U.S. senate in New York. Because of this he was “sentenced in U.S. District Court in New York City to eight months of overnight confinement, a $30,000 fine, five years of probation and one day of community service per week for five years.” He “is still on probation and still doing the community service, which doesn’t expire until October 2019.”
It`s been reported now that Rosie O’Donnell has made some illegal contributions of her own, and did so by using several variations of her name as well as different addresses. The New York Post reported that “The liberal comedian has regularly broken Federal Election Commission rules limiting the total any one person can give to an individual candidate at $2,700 per election.” We all know that democrats skirt election rules however they can. The question now is whether or not the law will be applied equally. We doubt it will, as nothing came up about her past attempts to bribe senators.
