Suspect In Murder Of Jogger “Does Not Like White People”. National Media Silent

35 year old Wendy Martinez was attacked and stabbed while jogging through her D.C. neighborhood on September 18th.  The suspect, 23 year old Anthony Crawford is accused of stabbing her 7 times throughout the neck and face, leaving her to run into a local Chinese restaurant where she collapsed. Crawford, who was known as Fatz Gleezy in the neighborhood, was arrested after an acquaintance recognized him from surveillance video that was released. D.C. police said that the attack was unprovoked and that the victims did not know each other. They also said robbery was not a motive. WUSA9 has since reported that Investigators are looking into the possibility that Martinez’s murder might have been “racially motivated” because Crawford “does not like white people.” Curiously this has not been reported by any other outlets. Martinez, who had just gotten engaged a week earlier has been described asan avid runner … a devout Christian, a wonderful friend, and a driven professional.”. What makes this story even more disturbing is that he thought he killed a little girl allegedly saying he knew cops were accusing him of stabbing a “little girl.” Martinez stood only 5″1 and weighed 106 lbs. Crawford`s hearing is scheduled for October 11.

This is yet another case where mass media`s bias in reporting on hate crimes is exposed. Obviously Wendy Martinez is of a mixed racial background, but this did not stop Anthony Crawford from allegedly killing her because he thought she was white. Why is WUSA9 the only outlet reporting that this may have been racially motivated? Even if somehow they got that information wrong it wouldn`t have stopped this from being a national story had the roles been reversed. We`ve posted many other similar stories in the past here. Ask yourself why such stories don`t receive the same attention. What is mass media`s real agenda?
