Well, it’s been awhile since I`ve done any Dat Legacy updates on “The only president to never have a scandal”, but it looks like there might be quite a few coming especially with the new events surrounding the Michael Flynn / Russia hoax. In the mean time, Mexico has said they want answers over the Obama era gun running operation known as Fast And Furious. The stated goal of Fast and Furious was to have people buy guns illegally in the U.S. and send them to Mexico to track them back to high level cartel members. Whatever the stated goal was however, it was nothing less than a program that sent illegal guns to Mexican drug cartels. Not only were some of these guns used in gangland slayings, but one was found at the scene where U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was killed in December 2010. In the end, 1,400 of nearly 2,000 of the guns went missing.
After the death on Brian Terry Fast and Furious began to come to light and the House demanded that documents from the DOJ be handed over. Attorney General Eric Holder refused to do so leading him to be held in criminal contempt. He became the first sitting member of a president’s cabinet in U.S. history to be held in contempt of Congress. Furthermore, in order to protect Dat Legacy and avoid transparency, Obama invoked executive privilege to keep the documents from being released. Now Mexico is saying that they want answers, so this may be unraveling again.
