We Saved The City! Minneapolis Manufacturing Company Leaving The City After Riots

This reminds me of the Spongebob meme: We did it Patrick! We saved the city!

7-Sigma, a manufacturer and supplier of high-performance polymer and metal components and assemblies for the printing, medical, aerospace, and industrial markets that has been in Minneapolis since 1987 has said they will be moving out of the city after the riots. The owner states that the cities response to the riots was an “abject failure” as they did nothing to protect the people or businesses, going on to say that while a $30 million affordable housing complex next to his company burned down the fire department sat there and did nothing. It’s estimated that over 50 businesses have been completely destroyed with close to 50 more severely damaged. Over 1,000 commercial properties have also been destroyed. But hey, at least they saved the city from racism, and that’s all that matters.

Interracial Attack. Woman Stabbed 14 Times By Somali Suspect. National Media Silent

This is a story that occurred in December of last year, however we here are just hearing about it. This goes to show that while mass media continues to post videos about some random white person who said something “racist” towards a poc while completely leaving out any kind of context as to what led up to the confrontation, or run ridiculous news stories calling a rope swing a noose, they continue to ignore violent racist hate crimes committed towards whites. This is evident in yet another attack, this time out of Minneapolis where a white woman was stabbed 14 times while walking home from work. Had the roles been reversed it would have been national news and everyone would be up in arms calling her a victim who was doing nothing more than “walking while black”. As it turns out, this could very well be a case of nothing more than walking while white. As stated on her go fund me page, 26 year old Morgan Evenson was walking home from work when a car pulled up and “A man got out of the vehicle, chased and tackled her to the ground. Morgan was strong and fought with her assailant- clawing, kicking and fighting for her life. The assailant ran off when those nearby heard her cries for help, leaving her with fourteen stab wounds on the face, arm, neck and back, bleeding out on the curb.” Fortunately residents in the neighborhood heard her screams and came to her rescue. It should be noted that nothing was stolen from her, and even the police said that the number of stab wounds make it very improbable that this was a robbery gone wrong.

The suspect, who she said she had never seen before is described as as a thin Somali man in his early twenties with a slight accent and short afro-style hair. I went through several news articles on this attack and it took me awhile before I could find a mainstream outlet that included Somali in the suspects description. Most of them just described him as a man in his early 20s wearing an army green colored jacket and gray stone washed jeans. Furthermore, just like the Somali mob attack on LEO appreciation night, I could only find this story on the outlets local to the area. A google search with Morgan Evenson cnn, msnbc etc turned up nothing that I saw. In relation to this story, there have been attacks on people in Tennessee just this past month who were doing nothing more than walking while white. Again, just like these stories there has been no national outrage or coverage. Why is that? What is mass media`s real agenda? And why aren`t there civil rights groups and lawyers defending these issues for us?

As we`ve stated many times in the past: Civil rights and the right to represent your people is not something that should only be afforded to “minorities”. Racism, hate crimes and discrimination exists across all borders. Why aren`t there any local anti racist groups or politicians issuing statements or planning protests when these things happen? Why weren`t there any calls for a day of healing or a rally against hate? It`s just nothing. Why is that?

The denial of civil rights for any group or class of people only ensures their exploitation and victimization. We need legitimate organizations working alongside the Black Caucasus and NAACP, CAIR, La Raza etc in D.C. For the past 30 – 40 years those who were supposed to be representing European Americans have said don`t vote, don`t get involved in the system because it doesn`t represent us. What did we get for our alienation? Exactly the nothing we have now. That needs to change. The more you advocate doing nothing because you don`t like the way the laws work against us the more you allow the system to exploit us and discriminate against us. Get out and get involved.
